I woke up this morning and as expected it was colder than yesterday. Of course, December is ending so it will get colder with each passing day. I looked at my running shoes and the war between two gangs living in my brain started, which war? Come on, all of you know which war I am talking about, the dilemma of going out or not, going out in the chilly weather for my daily run or just staying warm and cozy in my quilt? Most of us have gone through this to do or not to do situation when there is more than one excuse to miss out the exercise regime. Here is a list of some funny yet motivational quotes to get you going:
The Hardest Lift of all is lifting your butt off the couch – Doesn’t it says all, the limitation of how much can we push our body is really the positive contribution of our brain. That golden moment when you won the resistance to exercise from your mind is the moment of Liberation and shaping your health regime to any height.
I will make sweat my best accessory. I will run harder than my mascara – Don’t get me started on the benefits of sweating during exercise, boost endorphins or detoxify your body or lowers kidney stones risk or curing may illnesses like cold, one can go on with the benefits so wear your sweat with pride.
Think you won’t make a difference with one run? You won’t make any difference doing nothing – Here is why you must consider running as part of your daily life, it pretty much benefits every part of your body and helps in lifting off your mood. It’s helpful to prevent diseases such as breast cancer in women and reduces the risk of stroke.
When nothing goes right, go left (scratch that) go lift – All those endorphins (the natural painkiller neurotransmitters in the brain which also contribute towards a feel-good or well bring feeling) released during a workout are guaranteed to make you feel better, promise its tried and tested.
Strong is the new skinny – Strong and healthy is new equivalent to skinny. When you are healthy and strong you are talking about benefits like weight control, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, strengthen bones and muscles and overall improved mental health and mood.
Of course, its heavy, that’s why they call it weight – Thinking about a new year resolution for a toned and chiseled body, then speak with your gym trainer for weight lifting program for you. It will not only help in better body composition but also contribute towards making you a happier new person.
Dear Fat, prepare to die. XO, Me – Weight gain, heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure, cancer are few of the life-threatening risks you are taking with your body and health if you are not saying goodbye to that excess fat in your body.
“I don’t have time for exercise” is a grown-up version of “Dog ate my homework” – An hour’s workout is just 4% of your entire day and hey we own that much to our body; don’t you think so.
Exercise to Stimulate; not to annihilate – I am sure all of you had heard this phrase “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. So, when you are starting with your exercise program, make it slow and gradual, don’t crash on the workbench the first day you hit the gym. The changes you want to achieve through exercise will not happen overnight but with every passing day, you will feel the difference and soon you will see the miracle of your persistence.
And as the closing thought here is my favorite one: –
Let’s workout really hard, then re hydrate with margaritas – This will surely add that extra sprint in your walk so go for it. Here is to a happy yet effective exercise regime.
