If health is sun and essential to Earth (you) for good life, then consider food as the axis on which you rotate, making sure you stay balanced and stay on a course covering orbit. If it sounds too space-y an example then simply food is crucial to good health. More so Breakfast known as the most important meal of the day has a great deal to contribute to health.
I like you smart people, yes you guessed it, this is about breakfast. However, instead of telling you what to eat, we are telling you what to avoid for breakfast. Fair warning you may find some of them as deal breakers.
Citrus Fruit Juices: A popular breakfast choice, some swear by it. Yes, it has vitamin C and may help you wake up, but what it also has is a lot of sugar and it causes acidity. Especially for people suffering from GERD it irritates there lining and makes matters worse.
Packaged Cereals: The most commonly found item on breakfast tables. Yes, they are convenient, easy and says a lot of good things about fortified with vitamins, minerals. But in reality what it is, is a breakfast killer. The word fortified ought to be bolden up because it means in the process of manufacturing all was lost and then added superficially. What you get out of this box is loads of sugar and increase in risk factors for obesity. Being high on sugar content it shoots up your sugar and insulin level and then it hits rock bottom after some time, making you go in a hint of more such sugary treats.
Muffins: So you prefer your mornings with coffee and muffins. It sounds like a delicious combination, but not a healthy one. I know a lot of labels present the muffin with words like bran, gluten-free, trans-fat free, sugar-free, making it more alluring. In reality, this is just a ploy to indulge in your desire for sweet guilt free. But with no fiber, negligible nutritional value and lots of sugar and yeast, it causes flatulence, bloating, often leave you with hunger pangs mid-morning, and ruining your diet.
Packed Sandwiches: Who doesn’t love a good sandwich? They are good as small meals and can make for filling breakfast. Something for everyone, vegans, non-vegetarian and better still available easily in a supermarket or that local shop. The problem doesn’t just arise if they are not fresh but with the fact that they are high in sodium, salts, carbohydrates all synonymous with bad health. Effects include bloating, feeling lethargic all day to more severe like heart conditions and fluctuating blood pressure in a longer run.
Raw Vegetables: We told you shocker included. So yes nothing is wrong with eating raw vegetables, just not in the morning as breakfast. The logic behind is that on.an empty stomach that extra amount of fiber puts undue pressure, leading to stomach pains and flatulence.
Instead opt for oatmeal, fruits, eggs, honey, lean meat kind of items. We couldn’t resist adding a suggestion. Anyways for a kick start to your day, make sure to eat healthy when breaking your fast.
